The first Sanderson, in my line to arrive in Australia, was LANCELOT SANDERSON (born 28
Jan 1802 - Hinbury Hilton, bapt 5 Feb 1802 - Parish of Gainford, died 16 Oct 1861 -
Morpeth, NSW, buried Morpeth C/E Cemetery) married 20 Dec 1821 to ANNE BOND (born circa
1790, died 24 Jun 1825 - Ingleton), remarried ELIZABETH STAMP (born circa 1801 -
Staindrop, died 22 May 1865 - West Maitland, NSW, buried Morpeth C/E Cemetery). LANCELOT
and ELIZABETH SANDERSON arrived in Sydney 12 Sep 1828 on the ship 'Caroline'.
The family has been traced back to STEPHEN SANDERSON married in the Parish of Hamsterley
on 30 Sep 1582 to JANE WYND.
Over time, we intend to publish a photographic history of this
line. Initially, we will concentrate on HENRY SANDERSON and his descendants.
